Sweet Selma Farms is proud to be an urban farm located in Historic College Park.

Named for Selma Katzenstein, a farmer who inspired many with her wit, cooking and courage, we have created Sweet Selma Farms to grow fruits, nuts and herbs and we use to make yummy stuff that we sell at The Irwin Street Market.

In the last few months, we’ve grown by leaps and bounds with the addition of a farm manager and a whole host of crops that we will be proudly putting in the pantry and on the table at the Irwin Street Market. We are now growing a variety of peppers and tomatoes for salsas, more tomatoes for marinaras, fried green tomato blts and salad, squashes for Doctah Mojo’s Enchanted Soups and fruits for Jake’s Ice Creams & Sorbets…and we’re just scratching the surface with this list.

In June we will open our outdoors to our students and fans at our new cooking school location the Cooking School at Sweet Selma Farms. We take farm to table to whole new level as we cook with fresh from the vine produce and herbs, a la fresco!

Our first class will be on June 15 at 6:30 pm.
